BEDROOM AT A HOUSE-- LATE MORNING

Opening with a Kid opening their eyes quickly. They grab a piece of paper that says their driver’s test is at [insert time]. The person looks at their watch and sees that it’s close to that time!

[semi-intense music playing]

The Kid gets out of bed quickly and already has presentable clothes on. They drive to the DMV (can just be any building)and, before they get out, the Parent they drove with gives them a thumbs up.

The Kid gets out of the car to see a stern Examiner awaiting their arrival, holding a clipboard. They giver the Kid the keys and point to the test car.

[music that reflects the Examiner’s attitude]

Both of them get in the car and the Kid adjusts the mirror and puts on the seatbelt. As they are doing that, the Examiner scribbles violently on their clipboard [with intense sound].

The Kid tries to look at the board but the Examiner turns the board away and gives the Kid a stern look. The Examiner puts on their seatbelt and the Kid pulls out of the parking lot.

[happy-ish music paying]

The Examiner points to the right, signaling to turn that way. Just before the kid does, they see the stop sign. The Kid slams the breaks [intense sound effect] and looks up at the Examiner nervously. The Examiner is writing away at the clipboard again [same sound effect as before].

They continue on their way and the Kid is doing pretty well [happy music playing]. After the braking fiasco, the Kid bounced back well. The are alert at lights, Looked both ways at all intersections, and was even nicer to pedestrians.

Both get out of the car and the Examiner gives the Kid their paper, telling them whether or not they passed. [happy music abruptly stops and plays horror music] The Kid looks, and they FAILED [intense sound effect].

The Kid looks up and sees the Examiner with a raised eyebrow and almost a smug look on their face. The Kid goes to their parent and cries.

[sad music playing]
