Intense Imagery: Day in Japan

Writer: isabellanmisabellanm

Dark brown roof, white walls.

People pushing to see the buddha statue.

The old structure gives off an aged scent.

The sky, baby blue.

Bright kimonos worn by giggling girls.

Sunlight filtered through light pink cherry blossoms.

Fire-orange toris one after another.

Like people standing in line.

Ceremonial bells ringing and fading.

Fox statues sitting obediently.

Feet aching from the walks.

Resting on the crowded train.

Air cooling as the sun slowly set.

Suits and ties rushing home to their families.

The smell of metal against metal.

The sounds of busy life fade.

Street lights become sparse.

Illuminated buildings on the black asphalt.

The sound of shoes only.

Heavy eyes looking for a Family Mart.
