Extended Metaphor: Night is a Lady

Writer: isabellanmisabellanm

Night is lady,

Dressed in black velvet,

Wearing it as a flowy dress.

Beginning her waltz,

Her sway lulling people to sleep.

Her feet bare,

As she meanders through suburban streets,

And struts through city blocks.

Her platinum tendrils,

Smooth like silk,

Flowing like a gentle stream.

Silver freckles cover her skin,

With crystals to match on her gown,

Shimmering in patterns.

She lies down to rest,

And rests her eyes.
