“Tabitha, you need to wear your uniform to school. Next time you come in with this get up I’m going to have to suspend you. I’d hate to do it but this isn’t acceptable.”
“Well, Principal Williams, I didn't know we were on first name basis. Is it okay if I start calling you Brad?”
“Please, Miss Fisher, just don’t come to school like this anymore.”
“I can’t help it, Brad, this is who I am and if you can’t accept that, you’ll have to just expel me.”
“I’m almost positive you don’t seriously dress up like a literal clown to express yourself.”
“Will you feel better if I honk my nose, Brad? Come on, you’re supposed to be my principal. Pal is in the name.”
“I’d like to be your ‘pal’ but you need to try and be my pal as well. That means following the rules of this school. You’re very smart, Miss Fisher, but you need to take this school seriously.”
“I get it, Brad-”
“Please stop calling me Brad, Miss Fisher.”
“I get it Principal Williams. I know I should be in a white collared shirt and a blazer and a skirt. Not to mention that horrendous tie. But if I’m being completely honest, I’d rather spend the rest of my days as pre-fairy godmother Cinderella than wear that ‘get up’ as you’d put it.”
“What can I do so you don’t come to school in another halloween costume?’
“Hmm. I didn't think I’d get this far. I was planning on getting yelled at and then coming in as a goldfish tomorrow. What do you think I should do?”
“Personally, I would just wear my uniform, but that’s not what’s gonna happen.”
“Well, maybe you can bring me Chic-fil-a twice a week for the rest of the year. I can pay for half, too.”
“I guess that could work. Paying you in food to keep the image of this school clean. Sounds like a deal to me.”
“Now, let’s shake on it. Ptooey!”
“I think we can agree without spitting on our hands, Miss Fisher.”
“I suppose you are correct, Mr. Principal Williams. I expect the twelve piece by tomorrow!”
“Can do, Miss Fisher. Also, you’re going to have to get picked up by your parents today. But tomorrow is a new day- welp, she’s already gone.”
“Hey can you call my mom? My dad doesn’t think this is very funny.”
“Of course, Tabitha.”
Thanks, Brad. Well I guess I’m off to class for now. See ya later Brad!”
“Call me Mr. Williams…”
“Oh my gosh do you see what Tabitha is wearing”
“Wow. She’s just gonna come to class wearing that? I’d hate to be her family.”
“Settle down, class. Tabitha, may I ask why you aren’t wearing the uniform?”
“I think the better question is, why are you wearing a clown suit?”
“Hush, Lillia. But please answer the first question.”
“Well, I was thinking, I don’t really enjoy wearing the uniform. Then I thought, how can I not wear it?"
“Please just answer the ques-”
“Let me finish please. And so I thought I’d wear a slight variation of the uniform. I didn’t think you guys would really notice… Badum tsss... Tough crowd.”
Well, I assume Principal Williams has already called ur parents so just take a seat. In the hall.”
“Can do Mrs. Davis. Also, you look just flawless today.”
“Can’t say that about Tabitha aha-AAAAAA”
“LILLIA! TABITHA STOP!”
“TABITHA STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!”
“Humph. Now your nose is all red like mine. We’re twinsies now.”
“I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU! YOU’RE SO INSANE! GET HER OUT OF HERE!”
“Tabitha, go straight down to the office right now. Delilah, take Lillia to the nurse.”
“Hey, Brad. Guess I’m not getting that twelve piece tomorrow.”
“Why? That’s my only question for now.”
“Lillia is antagonistic. That’s all I’m saying for now.”
“Well your mother is a couple minutes away.”
“Kay.”
